Is Command Ready a Coast Guard-approved course?
Command Ready is independent exam preparation and supplemental training. It does not issue a captain’s license or an approved course-completion certificate. Follow the NMC’s instructions for your application and examination path.
Which captain’s license exam does it cover?
The current study system focuses on the Near Coastal OUPV Six-Pack pathway: Q100 Rules of the Road, Q170 Deck General & Safety, Q171 Navigation General, and Q172 Chart Plotting. Check your assigned modules before choosing a study plan.
Can I try it without an account or payment?
Yes. The five-question readiness assessment and public study guides are free and do not require login. The assessment is a starting-point diagnostic, not a full Coast Guard exam or a guarantee of passing.
